We will see if my gut is correct.  I thought our Sunday storm would not be too impressive, but our mid-week storm would pack the winter punch we've been lacking.  According our partners at the Northland's News Center, we may be in for some serious weather which could include over a foot of snow.  Be careful.

Tuesday a Colorado Low will be pushing into the region and will bring us a good chance of snow (70%) into the afternoon hours. Expect ESE winds at 5-10mph. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning the low brings in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico which will lead to heavy and wet snow. Snow will last into the night and throughout Wednesday. Even some lake enhanced snow is possible into the evening hours for Duluth and the North Shore. Winds will be very strong with this system with gusts up to 40mph, sustained winds will be NE at 15-25mph.

Snow Accumulation Forecast:

Twin Ports, Hayward, Cloquet, Moose Lake, Sandstone, Spooner: 7-14"

Hibbing, Ashland, Ironwood, Grand Rapids, Two Harbors: 3-6"

Ely, International Falls, Grand Marais: 1-3"
