A sure sign we're over half way done with winter is that registration for the 2015 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is about to begin.  Cross your fingers that you get in, as the race entry process is conducted through a lottery in which 6,700 participants will be randomly selected.

Beginning Monday and continuing through Friday, Feb. 20, registration will be available at GrandmasMarathon.com for all half-marathon hopefuls.  Lottery entrants can submit their registration any time during the 12-day online registration period. Once the lottery registration period closes, those participants who were randomly selected will receive a confirmation email during the week of Feb. 23, along with further instructions on how to complete the payment process in order to make their entry official. Runners not selected will receive an email notifying them that their entry was not among those chosen.

The 25th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is Saturday, June 20, at 6:15 a.m., and is run on the second half of the Grandma’s Marathon course each year. The entry fee for the 2015 race is $85.

Good luck in the lottery and get ready to run, baby, run!
