Freezing Rain Advisory Issued for Duluth / Superior Area, Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin
After a few days of warmer than normal temperatures, things are about to get icy and very cold for the Twin Ports.
The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a freezing rain advisory, effective from 6pm today (Thursday) through noon Friday. The advisory says freezing rain of about a quarter of an inch or less will fall across the Twin Ports region through the overnight hours of Thursday and into Friday, making travel conditions hazardous as roads get slippery from the freezing rain.

Following the freezing rain, light snow is expected later in the day Friday as temperatures fall to more January-like daytime highs in the single digits and low temperatures well below zero.
