With fall cleanup in full gear across the Northland, the worst part is often having to deal with what to do with all your yard waste and garbage.  Luckily, for Superior residents, there are two free landfill days coming up.

The City of Superior has announced that there will be free landfill days on Saturday, October 28 and Saturday, November 4.  From 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. items can be brought to the landfill located on Moccasin Mike Road, 1.5 miles east of Highway 53.

Items that will be accepted include:

  • Household Trash
  • Brush
  • Tires: 5 FREE per residence, 18” or smaller
  • Grass clippings and leaves
  • Mattresses and box springs, however regular fees apply.  KEEP THEM DRY!

Items not accepted include:

  • Recyclables
  • Demolition/construction materials
  • Electronics
  • Appliances
  • Batteries
  • Fluorescent bulbs
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Motor Oil and Oil Filters

These landfill days are for Superior residents only and proof of residency will be required.
