The freshmen men's crew team at Washington University in St. Louis went out to practice the other day. The rowers thought they had the water all to themselves, but, boy, were they wrong.

A slew of Asian carp jumped out of the water in Creve Coeur Lake while the boat moved in a scene that looks like it was taken from a B horror movie.

The carp are easily scared and can soar up to 10 feet high when afraid, which looks like it may be the case here. They also can weigh upwards of 40 pounds, which means you'll be black and blue if one of them gets you in the noggin.

Asian carp are believed to be dangerous to our ecosystem, so you just know they're not winning any more friends with this kind of behavior.
