Florida Georgia Line Launch Dirt Campaign
Now that Florida Georgia Line have dropped their newest single ‘Dirt,’ they’ve also announced the Dirt Campaign to run alongside it — and with it, the duo are trying to raise $100,000 for Habitat for Humanity.
The single has given FGL just the leverage they need for their campaign, which launched on Tuesday (July 8). Brian Kelley says that now that they’re in a position to help others, they want to make sure they do that.
“To be able to be in the position we’re in and be so blessed over the last couple of years doing what we love is very rewarding, and we’ve always said we want to be bigger than the music and give back,” Kelley tells People.
The FGL guys are endlessly proud of their new song and knew it needed to be cut from the first time they heard it.
“We had goose bumps the first time we heard it. With most of our other singles, you don’t have to think at all, it’s a self-explanatory feel-good song,” Kelley says. “But this one makes you dig a little deeper, makes you think about your life and where you’re at and where you want to be.”
FGL are encouraging their fans to help them raise the money for the cause. If donating to a good cause isn’t enough, everyone who contributes will be entered to win a trip for two on their This Is How We Cruise cruise, which hits the water via Miami on Nov. 8.
‘Dirt’ is the first single from Florida Georgia Line’s upcoming album, which is set for release this Fall.
