Flooding in Carlton County Causes 9-1-1Phone Issues

Flooding from our recent Spring snrain (snow+rain) storm has caused phone issues in Carlton County. They have determined the issue is a break in a fiber optic line. Repairable? Yes, however, at this time the area that needs to be repaired is underwater and that's compounding the problem. Crews are working on the situation.

The Pine Journal reports the issue is affecting residents in Carlton County in the Moose Lake/Barnum and surrounding areas. They can call within their area, but the 9-1-1 is not working. People in that area should call their local fire department until the issue is resolved.
