April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

You're invited to their OPEN HOUSE on April 12!

Child abuse is a difficult topic to discuss.  But, talking about it and how First Witness Child Abuse Resource Center is working to help children should be talked about.  You should know what makes First Witness so special and WHY there needs to be a place like First Witness for these children to go to, and feel safe, and tell their story......once.  Be an "I Stand With Kids" Sponsor, here's how!

"I Stand With Kids"

To represent Child abuse prevention month, First Witness is teaming up with other Child Advocacy Centers around Minnesota to host the "I Stand With Kids" campaign in Duluth. The "I Stand With Kids" campaign strives to bring child abuse awareness with the hope that community members will rally to support victims of child abuse and be active in the prevention of child abuse in our community.

In order to support the "I Stand With Kids", we are asking community members to join our fight against child abuse by becoming a sponsor of a Blue Kids figure.

All sponsored Blue Kids figures will line the the Lakewalk on April 30th from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. with the names of their sponsor displayed. Everyone is invited to the Lakewalk to stand with kids on this day. First Witness staff and interns will be present to hand out and discuss ways to help prevent child abuse and keep our kids safe.
