The weather has caused disappointment for all of us at one time or another, and that's exactly what has happened for those anticipating the 2014 season opener at AMSOIL Speedway in Superior this Saturday.  According to the Northland's News Center, racetrack officials made the announcement that the races for May 17 have been canceled.

Board member Joe Stariha said:

"The track is just too wet with the four inches of rain Superior got on Sunday night through Tuesday morning". "We need a few straight days of sun and wind to dry the track out and get it packed in. This is almost a mirror image of last year and we don't want to open up the track when its not ready as we respect our drivers equipment too much and driver's safety is our #1 priority at AMSOIL Speedway."

This year My 9 Sports Network will air eight nights of racing this summer, with each broadcast scheduled to start at 9:00 p.m.
