First Of Two Superior Free Landfill Days is Saturday
It's officially spring cleaning time across the Northland. Superior residents have an advantage getting rid of clutter with two upcoming Free Landfill Days.
The City of Superior has announced two Free Landfill Days, Saturday April 21 and Saturday, April 28, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m each day.
These days provide Superior residents free use of the landfill located on Moccasin Mike Road, which is 1.5 miles east of Highway 53.
Here is a list of items that will be accepted:
- Household Trash: FREE
- Brush: FREE
- Tires: 4 FREE per residence, 18” or smaller
- Grass clippings and leaves: FREE year-round
- Mattresses and box springs: REGULAR FEES apply – Please keep them dry.
$15.00 each if completely dry and fairly clean
$18.00 each if damp, wet or heavily soiled
Items not accepted at the landfill:
- Recyclables
- Demolition/construction materials
- Electronics
- Appliances
- Batteries
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Motor oil
- Household hazardous waste
Free Landfill Days are for individual households only, no contractors, landlords, or business owners are allowed.
To avoid fines, please make sure all loads covered and all loose items are tied or bagged.
