If you plan on duck hunting this weekend for the Minnesota waterfowl opener, there is encouraging news from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

According to experts, there have been plenty breeding ducks in Minnesota in recent years which should translate into a target rich environment for hunters.

For the upcoming season, the daily duck bag limit remains six per day. The mallard bag limit remains four per day, including two hen mallards. The daily bag limits remain at three for wood duck and scaup; and two for pintails, redheads and canvasbacks.
