Esko and Cloquet Heading to 2014 Minnesota Boys State Tournament

On a day when many were following the hockey action in St. Paul that included a game between Duluth East and Eagan, several local boys basketball teams competed for a chance to represent the area at Target Center next week.

In the Section 7AA Championship at UMD, the Esko Eskimos earned a trip to state following a 61-39 win over Barnum.

Section 7AAA saw Cloquet beating Hermantown 71-60 on the court at Duluth East High School to earn a spot in next week's tournament.

In Section 7A, Fond du Lac Ojibwe School will meet South Ridge at Duluth Denfeld Friday night.
