Protesters gathered at the construction site of the new Dunkin' Donuts on Central Entrance in Duluth Wednesday morning. The group says developer and franchise owner Brian Weidendorf of Hinckley, MN is not using local workers in the project and their aim is to create awareness and garner support for local workers in this and other projects. The construction firm being used for the project is reportedly a non-unionized company based in Pine City, MN.

The Central Entrance Dunkin' Donuts is one of a handful of planned locations set to be opened by Weidendorf in the coming years, which also includes a store in Superior and towns like Hibbing and Grand Rapids.
