At least the City waited until after the warmer summer days to plan scheduled maintenance.  We really shouldn't complain, the do a fantastic job of keeping our Lakewalk maintained for safety, beauty and functionality.  That's why you should be aware that they are scheduling some seal coating to be done next week and try to avoid the area they are working in.

It's considered general maintenance and will begin next Monday, September 15, 2014 probably lasting the entire week. (weather permitting). A crew will start at Brighton Beach and move westward seal coating the Lakewalk to protect and preserve it.

They plan to do two mile segments at a time, for a total of 3 segments. (they did the math!)  Newly coated segments will be clearly marked and inaccessible until dry, which could take about a day, pending no rain.  Please obey marked signage.

You are requested to refrain from using the treated segments until they are dry.  The City thanks the public for their cooperation in order for crews to finish their work of preserving this popular and treasured city trail.
