Duluth’s Broman Brothers to Hit the Court In The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament
March Madness has officially arrived and it’s an exciting time with both the Gophers and Badgers getting placed into the tournament. Duluth will also be represented as the Winthrop Eagles feature a pair of guards who grew up in the Northland.
Anders and Bjorn Broman both grew up in Duluth, attending the Lakeview Christian Academy, and are now playing college ball for Winthrop. The Eagles are a 13-seed in the South Region and will face No. 4 seed Butler on Thursday in the tournament’s first round at 1:30 p.m.
Ironically, if Winthrop can pull the upset and the Minnesota Golden Gophers defeat a talented Middle Tennessee State squad, then the two teams would meet in the tournament’s second round.
