Earlier I had blogged about the Minnesota Food Share Campaign with CHUM.  I talked about how in the month of March food and cash donations to CHUM are matched.  I was surprised to find out that diapers also follow under that category until I read on wdio.com that the Duluth Police Department were part of a community effort in a diaper drive.

Public Information Officer with the Duluth Police Department told WDIO that "while they serve the public in the form of protection, they see a big need for individuals with children and to supply them with diapers."  Together with a local convenience store they garnered cash and diaper donations.

Meg Kearns, Director of Distributive Services at CHUM is grateful.  She said "we are completely out of size four, five and six diapers."  Of course, while diapers are desperately needed, the donation of baby wipes, baby lotion and powder is also appreciated.

Thank you to everyone in the community, business owners, the Duluth Police Department and private individuals who have donated to CHUM in the month of March. If you've been meaning to buy food, diapers or make a cash donation, please do it before the end of the month so your efforts are matched!
