Duluth Parks & Rec Need Slow Pitch Softball Umpires

If you are like me, you use to play softball.  Maybe you've had to give the sport up due to family obligations, injury or loss of agility due to age.  There IS still a way to get involved with the game, but not as a player, as an Umpire!

The Duluth Parks and Recreation is in need of additional umpires for the 2012 adult slow pitch softball season games held at the Wheeler fields. Umpires will be paid $23 per one hour game.  All interested new and returning umpires must attend the USSA softball umpires clinic which will be held on Saturday, March 31st starting at 9:30 AM at the Buffalo House, located at 2590 Guss Road (Exit 245 off I-35). The cost for the clinic and the USSSA registration fee is $70 payable the day of the clinic.

Make up date will be held at the Washington Center in Room 106 on Wednesday, April 4th from 6:00-8:00 PM. New umpires must attend both workshops.  For additional information call Bernie Zylka at 348-4464.
