Duluth East Senior Ryan Lundgren Wins 2013 Class AA Herb Brooks Award

Senior forward Ryan Lundgren of the Duluth East Greyhounds joined Hermantown’s Chris Benson as a recipient of the 2013 Herb Brooks Award this weekend in St. Paul.
The award, which is given to a player in both Class A and Class AA is given out each year to a player in the state tournament that exemplifies the values exhibited by legendary hockey coach Herb Brooks.
Lundgren ended his high school career helping his team to a 7-3 win against Wayzata to claim third place in the 2013 MSHSL Boys Hockey Tournament.
