Yesterday I found myself once again at the liquor store heading for my usual beverages when I saw this at the end cap.  Duck Commander Wine.  Well, what the heck, let's try it!  Would it be good?  Is it really worth $10?  Will it make me say racist, homophobic things?  There's only one way to tell.  I bought it, went home, and shared it with my wife.

Well, she had a glass, I had the rest.   Whatever, don't judge me.

The wine is from Trinchero Family Estates in Napa Valley.  They've been making wine for years, so don't assume it's Uncle Si stomping on grapes in the backyard.

My wife prefers white wines, so I bought the chardonnay.  It tastes like a chardonnay should.  There really isn't anything special about it, but it's good.  It was $10, and to be honest I really can't tell the difference between this and a $6 bottle of wine, but I'm not a wine snob.  Something about it just ruffled my feathers.  (like a duck, get it?)

That brings up the next point, these wines aren't made for wine snobs.  It's a wine that will please many people, and that's what they are shooting for.  (Get it.. shooting... ok I'll stop.)

So why don't you duck on over (seriously, I'm done now) to your local liquor store and give it a try.
