First things first, congratulations to our high school and college graduates.  Another mile stone reached to enhance your continued journey!  This past Saturday was a busy one for the canal park area and the DECC/Amsoil Arena.  UMD held it's commencement ceremonies for 2, 353 students.  The U-of Wisconsin Superior also had 356 students graduate on Saturday.  With our local colleges on summer break, the DTA is suspending some routes.

Colleges on summer break doesn't mean that there won't be summer classes (I know because my daughter is taking a couple), but because the number of students attending drops dramatically for the summer, the DTA is suspending some of their routes.

Starting today,  the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will start the standard seasonal suspension of service for select routes that provide regular-route service to both the University of Minnesota – Duluth (UMD) and Lake Superior College (LSC).

Specifically, Route 18 and Route 13U will be suspended until classes resume on September 2, 2014 at UMD and Route 9LS will be suspended until classes resume on August 25, 2014 at LSC.

Have a fantastic summer!
