Given the choice, many of us would buy local before considering to purchase our food, goods and other items from other states or countries.  So, it's a good feeling to know that there are organizations available to help keep our local businesses up-to-date on the proper management for health and safety reasons.

One such organization that always has the public in mind is the Douglas County University of Wisconsin-Extension.  They are  encouraging all livestock producers to attend the Meat Quality Assurance training session to be held this Saturday, June 9th, at Northwestern High School in Maple, WI.

The session will be held from 9:00-12:00 noon and is FREE and open to the public.  For more information, please contact Jane Anklam at 715-395-1515.
