Sadly when temperatures drop to as cold as they have been we see an uptick in the amount of home fires here in the Northland.  If you have an older, draftier home like I do, you probably are using a combination of smaller heaters to keep certain areas of your home warm.  If used properly, they are a good option.  However, many people don't use them safely and it can cause your home to go up in flames.
