‘Donnie Loves Jenny’ Entertains With Their Obnoxious Love

OK, so maybe the headline is a little harsh.  If there's one thing you'll take away from the premiere of Donnie Loves Jenny is that Donnie Wahlberg really freaking loves Jenny McCarthy, and she really freaking loves him.  My wife and I have been a fan of Wahlburgers (which follows the family burger business), so we thought we'd give it a shot last night.

The first show is about Donnie & Jenny planning for their wedding and the actual wedding ceremony and reception.  This is your standard reality TV format, and it works.  It's entertaining and keeps your attention.  Both Donnie & Jenny are likeable people and we learn more about the two of them individually.

We meet Jenny McCarthy's son, Evan.  I thought it was strange that Donnie talks about his two kids and we never see them.  Also I thought it was strange we didn't see Mark or really anybody else at the wedding we knew besides Pauli and Alma.  I'm not sure if they weren't there or if it was a creative decision not to distract from the show premise.

And the rest of the show is Donnie & Jenny all over each other physically and with high school sweetheart like talk. It's obnoxiously adorable- if that's even possible.

My wife and I will be watching again.
