I have a story "in progress", this is my 15th consecutive year of running Grandma's Half Marathon, I'm shooting for 20.  Three ankle surgeries strategically placed so I could still run the next half marathon and the fact that I'm getting older is making me wonder if I'll succeed my goal.  That's my story in a nutshell.  Grandma's Marathon is looking for yours.

There's bound to be some interesting stories with thousands of runners converging on the City of Duluth for Grandma's Marathon weekend in June.  They're looking for stories that deserve to be shared. Are you running for a family member, friend, or charity? Have you overcome a personal life challenge and want to share your success story? Or is it just your first race and you’re excited to finally experience what Grandma’s Marathon weekend is all about? Share your story by briefly describe it in 300 words or less and email it (subject line: MY STORY) to Bree Schmitt at Breanna@grandmasmarathon.com.

Your email should include:

  • *Name
  • *City, State
  • *What race you are running in this year

Your submission may be featured in the 2015 Media Guide and/or shared with the media that will be covering the weekend events. In addition it could be posted on official Grandma’s Marathon social media sites.
