There has been a void in my life lately.  I know it sounds melodramatic, but I've really been missing a TV show to be excited about.  Friday night, my wife and I watched Fargo On Demand and I instantly fell in love.  It is a gem.

I have high hopes for this show, and I love it when a show has a payoff right away in the first episode.

If you haven't watched the first episode, stop here and go watch it.  Seriously, just go get it and watch it as soon as you can.

The story starts out with a drifter, Malvo, coming into the small town of Bemidji and shaking things up.  But we kind of like this guy, because he is a vigilante of sorts.  He offers to take care of Lester Nygaard's lifetime bully.  We can't help but cheer for him.

But then things get nasty in a hurry.  Lester stumbles his way into one huge pickle.  And gee gosh, things get different.

The draw of the show isn't a "who dunnit" murder mystery.  The enjoyment comes from watching the characters interact and how the storyline unfolds effortlessly.  It's a refreshing show, albeit a dark one.

Yes, the Minnesota accent is over done.  They got the idea of it, but it's just a little bit heavy.  It works and it's fun to parody it myself going around the house for days saying "aw heck," and "you betcha."  "Ya!"

I haven't seen a show this good since Breaking Bad.  Take the time to watch the second episode tonight on FX at 9 Central Time.
