The Minnesota firearms deer season begins Saturday, November 5, but the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources highly recommends that hunters purchase their license early.

According to the DNR, nearly 500,000 firearms deer hunters are in the state of Minnesota and purchasing your license early will help you avoid long lines and any potential system issues associated with the high sales volume.

Deer licenses are available at various Northland locations.  You can also purchase over the phone at 888-665-4236 or by clicking the link below. There are additional fees for telephone and internet transactions. Also, deer licenses and tags ordered by phone and internet take three to five business days to arrive, so be sure to keep that in mind.
