We've seen the old gas stations closed down for years on the corner of 28th and Superior.  I had heard rumors about their being a new CVS pharmacy being built there for quite some time.

Looks like it's getting started.  I noticed on Thursday that the excavators were parked by the gas stations, and this morning they began demolishing the old buildings to make room for  one of three new CVS pharmacy's coming to the Twin Ports.

Five more homes and a commercial building will be leveled to make room for the new 13,000 square foot facility.  The new pharmacy is expected to bring 35 new jobs to the area when it is completed later this year or early next year.

Also residents along Banks Avenue will be happy to know that they are also landscaping around the lot to shield residents from the hustle and bustle of the business.
