Couple Tries to Rob Charity Lemonade Stand

In an attempt to garner the title “World’s Meanest Robbers,” a couple in Houston held up a charity lemonade stand run by 13-year-old Chelsea Edwards and her two friends.
Gage Turner, 20, and Amber Umbarger, 21, allegedly approached the lemonade booth, inquired about the cost and then grabbed the money jar and ran.
The jar contained roughly $130 and was intended to go toward the care of the 7th grader’s 2-year-old cousin, who suffers from an intestinal disorder and needs advanced medical treatment. According to grandmother Judy Bailey, her granddaughter was on the ground crying and has had a rough few days since the robbery.
Umbarger and Turner have since been arrested and await court appearances.
