St. Patrick's Day is coming up next week and, with many people celebrating over the upcoming weekend, I decided my Country Throwback this week should feature an artist with Irish ancestry.

Shania Twain fits the bill as she is part Irish, as well as part Cree, French and English.  It's hard to believe that it was 20 years ago that "Any Man Of Mine" not only became her first number one hit, but also changed the way a lot of country music was produced.

The song was released in April of 1995 as the second single from her "The Woman In Me" album.  It was produced by her husband at the time, Mutt Lange, who had previously worked with rock artists like Def Leppard.

I remember when the song came out, it sounded nothing like what was currently on country radio at that time and the requests for it were overwhelming.  Let's revisit the song by watching the hit video.

Enjoy and have a happy St. Patrick's Day!
