In a little over a week, runners of Grandma's Marathon and the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon will board buses for what feels like a thousand mile ride the their respective starting lines.  In honor of that feeling, I decided to choose a Dwight Yoakam favorite for this week's Country Throwback.

"A Thousand Miles From Nowhere" was released June of 1993.  It was the second single from his album This Time and the song would peak at number two on the country singles chart.

Good luck to all the runners again this year and don't worry, you ride is nowhere near 1,000 miles despite how it may feel.
