The Mission of the Duluth Police Department is to provide the highest level of service through partnerships and problem solving in a professional, ethical, and timely manner.  I've noticed that our local law enforcement does a fantastic job of informing the public and being available to represent at many local events.  This has earned them national recognition.  They also make themselves available to ask questions and tell them what's on your mind.

They have a program called "Coffee with a Cop" that allows you the chance to visit face to face with an officer, whether to ask questions, give ideas, or thank them for putting their lives on the line on a daily basis for Northland citizens.  This time, they are targeting discussion on the UMD Campus and offering important safety tips.

On Wednesday, January 30, from 12-3p,  you can grab a cup of complimentary coffee  and visit with Community Officers of the Duluth Police Department and UMD.  They will be located on the first level, in front of the UMD Stores.
