Cloquet School Board Allows C-E-C Boys Hockey Coach Dave Esse to Keep His Job

In a vote Monday, the Cloquet School Board has decided to keep 14-year boys hockey head coach Dave Esse through the 2013-2014 season. The decision followed a petition signed by several concerned parents that was received by the Cloquet School Board accusing Esse of what was called "frequent inappropriate outbursts at his players".

Monday's meeting, a closed-door sesson, offered a 4-1 confidence vote; allowing Esse to return for the upcoming season. Beyond the 2013-2014 season, the school board says his future with the team is unclear.
