Bring The Family To The City of Duluth Sand Modeling Contest And Summer Beach Bash

Save next Thursday, July 19, for the City of Duluth‘s Parks and Rec Sand modeling Contest and Summer Beach Bash. Pack the family for a day of fun and sun on Park Point! Here’s the details….
The YMCA in Duluth has teamed up with the Parks and Recreation’s Annual Sand Modeling Contest which begins at 11:00 a.m. There will be additional activities for youth and families from 11:00-4:00 PM.
The event will take place at the Park Point Beach House which is located at 45th Street and Minnesota Avenue. Sand modeling teams are invited to create their own works of art in the sand from 11:00-1:30. Bring your shovels, pails, creativity and build a work of art. A panel of judges will review all the sand sculptures with prizes given in several categories.
A water safety expo will also be held from 2:00 – 5:00p.
