If you have issues with your storm sewer drain system, don't like the pot holes on your road, want to discuss taxes for your neighborhood, need to discuss the job situation in our area, or just want to meet our newly elected Mayor, Emily Larson.  You'll have that opportunity to get face time during her new community listening series.

Former Mayor Don Ness use to do something called "Mayor's Night". You had the chance to speak with him about whatever you wanted in Duluth's City Hall for about 10 minutes.  I did it.  My husband and I talked about how bad the roads in our neighborhood was.  It felt better talking face to face than sending an email I would spend time composing and never know if it got in front of the right person.

While our new Mayor still has that open door, face to face policy, she is doing it a bit differently.  She plans to visit each district with the City Councilor from that district and hold a listening series, she's calling it "City Hall in the City".  The first one is slated for this Wednesday, February 24 starting at 5:30 with Fifth District City Councilor Jay Fosle.  It will be held in the Gary New Duluth Community and Rec Center, 801 101st Avenue West.  This is your chance to bring your concerns, praise, suggestions or whatever is on your mind and get it in front of Mayor Emily Larson. The Mayor anticipates that you will bring your kids to the event because she plans on bringing art supplies for their creativity to shine.  The artwork will be proudly displayed in her and Councilor Fosle's respective offices.  Cool concept!

The next meeting is scheduled for March 16 with Mayor Larson joining City Council President Zack Filipovich.  That meeting place is yet to be determined.
