If you have issues with your storm sewer drain system, don't like the pot holes on your road, want to discuss taxes for your neighborhood, need to discuss the job situation in our area, or just want to meet our newly elected Mayor, Emily Larson.  You'll have that opportunity to get face time during her new community listening series on March16 at 5:30p.

Former Mayor Don Ness use to do something called "Mayor's Night". You had the chance to speak with him about whatever you wanted in Duluth's City Hall for about 10 minutes.  I did it.  My husband and I talked about how bad the roads in our neighborhood was.   Some of them did get fixed, but I feel like we need another meeting as they've become bad again.  It did feel  better talking face to face than sending an email I would spend time composing and never know if it got in front of the right person.

While our new Mayor still has that open door, face to face policy, she is doing it a bit differently.  She plans to visit each district with the City Councilor from that district and hold a listening series, she's calling "City Hall in the City".  The first one was with Fifth District City Councilor Jay Fosle and it went well.  The second in the series will be held in the Lower Chester Community Rec building, 1417 East 5th Street on Wednesday, March 16 at 5:30p.  This is your chance to bring your concerns, praise, suggestions or whatever is on your mind and get it in front of Mayor Emily Larson and City Council President Zack Filipovich. The Mayor anticipates that you may bring your kids to the event because she plans on bringing art supplies for their creativity to shine.  The artwork will be proudly displayed in her and City Council President Zack Filipovich's respective offices.  Cool concept!
