You may need to choose an alternative route to on Thursday to get to your destination or at least expect a slight delay.  The City of Duluth is excited to have thousands of runners, their families and friends, as well as tourists coming to view the city this weekend.  Not only do they want the marathon course free of debris for the runners, but they want to spruce our city up for all.

They plan on starting at 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 18 to sweep London Road from 14th Ave E to 26th Ave E. This section of London Road will be marked "No Parking."

The entire operation should only take about 3 hours.  As a reminder, the project areas must be cleared of vehicles. If cars are parked in the project areas, they will be ticketed and towed.  That will NOT be a great way to start your Grandma's Marathon weekend!
