When previously homeless families move into the Steve O'Neil Apartments, they need many basic items. Chum has put together a list for people to help.

The list changes from month to month depending on what is dropped off and who moves in and what they have. These are people who mostly have nothing. If you are changing out your dressers, appliances, or anything you are upgrading in your home, please drop off your previously used items. Only drop them off if they are useable and if you would still use them.

The biggest needs right now are:

  • 20 dressers (no missing pieces, please)
  • clean, functioning countertop microwaves
  • 6 sets of new or used pots and pans
  • 4 sets of kitchen tables with chairs
  • bagless vacuum cleaners
  • 400 plastic hangers for adults and children's clothes

Have you volunteered for Chum? April is Volunteer Appreciation Month!
Please come to the Volunteer Appreciation Lunch on April 23 at 11:30 am at Our Saviors Lutheran Church - 4831 Grand Ave.

Chum couldn't do what we do without the fabulous volunteers. In 2017, volunteers donated 14,000 hours to CHUM, equal to 7 full-time employees. If you have given time to helping other people through CHUM come and celebrate with like-minded people.
