As a parent you worry whenever your child is ill.  I don't want to alarm you, you only need to check your medicine cabinet to make sure you don't have any of this particular cough syrup, but there has been a recall due to incorrect markings on the dosage cup.

This involves a couple of different kinds of children's cough syrups that you may pick up from one of the nine stores that carry it, for example a CVS or Dollar General store.  According to WDIO.com, the Perrigo Company is voluntarily recalling two batches in the of the children's guaifsnesin grape liquid and three batches of the cherry flavored that are sold in 4 oz. bottles.

The supplier of the dosage cups to the company is recalling the mismarked cups, so the Perrigo Company is doing the right thing and recalling the cough syrup that has been shipped using those cups.  The concern is that too much cough syrup could be given if an adult were to use the incorrect cups and that could result in an overdose.  (although at this time, no overdoses have been reported).
