We recapped the New Year's Day College Bowl games.   Here's the results:

There were six college bowl games played New Year’s Day, including the granddaddy of them all, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA where No. 4 Michigan State sunk No. 5 Stanford 24-20. In the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl No. 6 Baylor was upset by No. 15 Central Florida 52-42; No. 9 South Carolina was able to withstand No. 19 Wisconsin 34-24 in the Capital One Bowl; the Outback Bowl was won by No. 16 LSU which topped Iowa 21-14; the Heart of Dallas Bowl was won by North Texas 36-14 over UNLV; No. 22 Georgia fell to Nebraska 24-19 in the Gator Bowl thanks in part to a 99-yard touchdown toss from the Cornhuskers quarterback Tommy Armstrong to wide receiver Quincy Enunwa.
