April Snow Not That Uncommon, Check The Weather Facts Here

How Much Did We Get? Snowfall Totals for the Greater Duluth / Superior Area

When the snow arrived midday today, it came in full force. Heavy snowfall and strong wind made things messy, leading to area police departments issuing statements urging people to stay off the roads. Things were so bad, departments were actually pulling some squads off the roads.

A water main broke in the Piedmont area Monday night causing many residents to go without water. The areas affected are Adirondack Street, Allegheny Street, Appalachian Avenue, Catskill Street, Gearhart Street, Hillcrest Drive, Hutchinson Road, lower Ozark Street, PiedmontAvenue, Selkirk Avenue, Springvale Road, and Tyrol Street.

It's been a pretty mild week, with the warmest day potentially Thursday.  Thursday will start nice and sunny, with a hi temp near 40 degrees before a potential rain and ice event hits Thursday night into Friday and then changes to snow.  With warm temps comes an increased danger of going out onto the ice.  A safe spot you were fishing on on one day could turn into a danger zone the next.
