The rainy weather for Harold’s Golf Fiasco this year didn't cooperate but that didn't stop Harold, his family, the amazing volunteers or the golfers from having a day of laughter and fun.  The event was still on course to be another record breaking day!  I thought last year was a historic amount, but coupled with the Harold's Flippin' Pancake Fiasco the total this year is a astounding $24,000!!!!

It's affordable fun for the whole family and it's coming up this Saturday, August 27 at Pine Hill Golf Course in Carlton.  This is the second in a series of three "fiascos" this year to increase an already fantastic fundraising effort for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Last year this event was just a ride, this year it's grown in number of days, size and things to do, thus the new name 2nd Annual Adam Long Ride N Rally!  The best part is you'll be making memories at the Checkerboard Bar, 3957 South County Road E in South Range, WI while raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Nothing short of amazing!  (and uber busy)  That's the way to describe this year's Harold's Flippin' Flapjack Fiasco. I am so humbled by the immense support that Carlton County gives through event donations, volunteer hours, energy and monetary donations for the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  YOU make such a difference!

Kevin Koen from the Carlton area came by to present a check for the St. Jude Radiothon.  Harold Ankrum, Kevin Koen, and a whole bunch of other great people from Carlton put on some fantastic fundraising events for St. Jude.   They include the Hog Roastin' Fiasco in September, The Flippin Flapjack Pancake Breakfast in May, and The Harold's Fiasco Golf Outing.

Brooke Eden recently visited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the first time to bring smiles to the patients there, as well as spread awareness about the organization.

Today is the final day for our annual B105 Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon.  Last year, we hit the one million dollar mark as a community raising money for this incredible cause.  This year, we hope to have our biggest single year ever, so it's crucial that we finish strong today.

Throughout our B105 Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon, you hear us talk about how much it costs to run the facility, which also provides protocols that help kids all over the world.  Not only is St. Jude working every single day to fight cancer, they are also finding ways to use technology to make advancements in the fight.

Maarja and Dana from Good Morning Northland on WDIO-TV stopped by to help out with our 2016 St. Jude Radiothon on B105 and KOOL 101.7.  We had an anonymous grandpa offer to match any donations that came in within a 5 minute time period. In the end everyone raised $1,245! Thanks to both of them for stopping by to help!
