Hockey Day Minnesota 2016 came and went, delivering lots of hockey and memorable moments for everyone at Bayfront Festival Park. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the inception of this statewide celebration of the game of hockey.

Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth will officially be the stage for Hockey Day Minnesota 2016. During a press event held at Bayfront Thursday morning, officials from the Minnesota Wild, FOX Sports North, headline sponsor Wells Fargo and other statewide and local organizers unveiled plans for this winter's event.

The Greyhounds of Duluth East beat the odds multiple times through their incredible run to the 2015 Class AA Championship game. With the odds stacked agains them yet again, Lakeville North proved to be too much for the Hounds, winning 4-1 and staying a perfect 31-0 on the season.

The Superior Spartans Boys Hockey Team to a 6-0 win over Wausau West for the 2015 WIAA Boys Hockey Championship.

The scene was familiar, the team was familiar, and the result was unfortunately familiar as well as East Grand Forks claimed their second straight Class A Championship against the Hermantown Hawks.

The Superior Spartans will be representing the Northland in the 2015 WIAA Boys Hockey Championship after defeating Cedarburg Friday night at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

The Duluth East Greyhounds continued their run of upsets, defeating last year's champions 3-1 to advance to the 2015 Class AA boys hockey championship. Edina entered the game as a number 2 seed that has averaged over 5 goals a game this season, looking to make a repeat trip to the championship...

In what was a defensive struggle between the Hermantown Hawks and St. Cloud Apollo Eagles, Hermantown found the edge to win 2-0 and punch their ticket to their sixth straight boys hockey Class A Championship game.
