August 31, 2011 Well what seemed to take forever to get here, came and passed. It's now been over 100 days since my wife and I were married. I figured its a good benchmark for newly weds. After all, the first 100 days of a President's term in office is always reviewed.
The most common question that always comes up in conversation is, so how's married life? I almost always respond, "WHAT A MISTAKE!"
August 16, 2011 Earlier this year I found a show that I really enjoyed. It's called "Sons Of Guns" and it follows Red Jacket firearms in Louisiana as they redefine what you can do with guns.
I'm a gun lover. I own several guns and I love to shoot. This show WAS right up my alley. The first season they showed some pretty cool things: like "silencing" a shotgun, mounting a shotgun on a wounded veteran's ATV, building a 1911 from a box of parts. It was pretty awesome things. The show must have started to catch on, because Discovery now has it running a full hour. But now it's gotten over the top.
August 8, 2011 I've blogged about Falling Skies before, telling you about how this show doesn't dissapoint for sci-fi fans. After last night's season finale I was a little dissapointed in a few things, but over-all still excited about the cliffhanger ending. Warning: SPOILER ALERT.

July 5, 2011 I'm a lady of the 80's and dang proud of it!!! Yes, LOVE MY COUNTRY...but when I heard there was a tribute to Rod Stewart coming to Grand Casino Hinckley the week-end we were camping....I was SO there.

June 28, 2011 It was a 2 hour ride bouncing around in a truck. The only highlight of the ride, a stop at Dairy Queen in Ladysmith, WI...however they were OUT OF COOKIE DOUGH! Sadness :( I made due with a Reese's. We finally arrived at Country Fest, with only a minimal amount of ice cream down the front of my shirt.
Then, there was the crawling through the crowd while in our truck, trying to find our parking spot and dealing with getting our tickets, traded in for wrist bands. Walk up the hill, no backstage passes at will call yet. Down the hill. Up the hill, nope, not yet. Shopped in the Country Fest Clothing Shop.....up the hill....
June 22, 2011 Choose your airlines carefully! I remember flying to Mazatlan when I was 7 years old. People could smoke on the plane, they served hot food and we had real silverware. Things have changed...airlines are taking some amenities away and charging for others...the latest charge is with Spirit Airlines.
June 16, 2011 I've heard about this show for a while and last night I actually watched it. I'm amazed at the deals these people get. Last night this lady bought over $3,000 worth of items and actually received 50 dollars in store credit

June 6, 2011 Music styles change over time. Think back to the British Invasion in the 1960's with the Beatles leading the way. Rock and roll was the devil's music and the older generations were outraged. Alan Jackson and George Strait sang Murder On Music Row, about how country music had changed so much and it was a cry to bring back the traditional styles of country music
