Hunting season is in full swing, so the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources wants to remind hunters who harvest deer, elk, moose or caribou outside of Minnesota that whole carcasses cannot be brought into the state.
I normally hunt all three weekends of the MN rifle season, but this year was a shorter season due to family obligations. So here I am all done hunting, and proud to have my first successful "stalking" of a deer story.
The Minnesota DNR has been busy informing all hunters of permit areas where testing for Chronic Wasting Disease is mandatory. However, if you harvest a deer outside of one of these areas there is still testing available to make sure the deer is free of CWD.
