We just received word from Kelly at Wildwoods that a little bear cub (raccoon size) is wandering in the area of Swan Lake Road and West Arrowhead Road in Duluth.  He was last seen on West Morgan and Yosemite.  We want to make sure this little guy is secured safely by taking the following action.

Pedal Minnesota Campaign Declares Minnesota The Bike Friendly State

On a gorgeous day getting outside is a priority for most people.  You see a lot of runners, walkers and rollerbladers.  A new campaign wants there to be more bikers, particularly in Minnesota.  I do own a bike, but only ride it around when I'm out camping or something.  Perhaps I need to upgrade my wheels and get out there!

According to Pedal Minnesota, the state was recognized as the 'Best Trails State' by American Trails, and boasts more paved trails than any other state.

The main thing to keep in mind is to check your area for restrictions before you burn, and obtain proper permits so that you are aware of restrictions which may impact you.  Best to error on the side of caution on this.  While many burning restrictions remain in place, the Department of Natural Resources is lifting them in several northern Minnesota counties yet this week.

Eagle Swims With Fish To Shore After It’s Too Heavy To Fly With

I've seen a lot of eagles, and I've seen them feed, but I've never seen this.  After several attempts to grab this fish and fly away, the eagle finally comes up with plan be.  Land on the fish and swim it to shore.  It's a great video!
