However, I've never experienced it done so eloquently as when the Florida Georgia Line and Love and Theft prank Jake Owen. Keep in mind that Jake's wife Lacey just gave birth to a baby girl on Thanksgiving, that spurs the diapers.
December 4, 2012 Every so often your job may require you to participate in a webinar (web conference). We end up having to do several of these each year. I get why we use them, and boy they would go so smoothly if people in general would just abstain from these stupid mistakes. Here's a few examples:
December 3, 2012 The world exploded with happiness over the announcement that Prince William and wife Kate are expecting their first child! Oh biscuits and tea, aren't you excited?? What do you think they will name the baby? If history has anything to do with it, there's some pretty awful royal names. Let's go over a few of the bad ones and nudge the couple in the right direction.
November 27, 2012 Jeff Dunham performed at Amsoil Arena last Sunday, and during the performance he told the crowd he was going to tape his latest Achmed's Daily Bombs during the show! Well he uploaded the video and even showed the Duluth crowd during the segment. Check it out for yourself! I wasn't able to go, but I heard it was a great show.
November 21, 2012 Most of us in radio count this scene as one of our favorites. It's from the classic show WKRP in Cincinnati where Les is covering the station's Thanksgiving promotion. Only problem was the station manager didn't quite understand that turkey's can't fly. If you haven't seen it, make sure to watch. Or if you're like me, you gotta watch it every Thanksgiving!
November 20, 2012 We talked about the horrible review that Guy Fieri's New York restaurant received from the New York Times on our entertainment update. Well, SNL had a skit that they ended up never airing. I'm not sure why because I think it was pretty funny. Bobby Moynihan does a pretty good impression, even if it is a little over the top. What for yourself!
November 16, 2012 Having grown up in the Northland, Christmas City of the North Parade has been a holiday tradition since I can remember. We'd gather around the TV and watch the parade go through Duluth. That was back when I considered Duluth a "big city" and would love to drive through downtown at night so I could see all the lights as a kid. You might laugh, but as a kid growing up in Biwabik MN, Duluth was a huge, charming city. Few times of the year showcase Duluth in such a way as the parade.
