Believe It Or Not A Cool Motorized Surf Board Does Exist [VIDEO]

At the grand opening of CARS (Complete Auto Repair Service) I was wandering around the array of Vipers, antique vehicles and racing cars and ran across what looked to be a surf board with a motor.  It was way too cool not to ask what the heck it was and where could I get one?

The fourth video of our series has us chatting with Dan Russell, the Executive Director of the DECC from the stage of the DECC Symphony Hall. His knowledge of concerts and events is interesting and at times, humorous. He shocks us with a story of how he had to pay a judge to get an artist out of a murder charge so he could perform, watch and find out who that was!

DECC Memories With Executive Director Dan Russell, Celebrating 50 Years [Video Series]

Dan Russell has been the Executive Director of the DECC for years. His knowledge of concerts and events is interesting and at times, humorous. (I don’t expect anything less from Dan)!  With the 50th anniversary of the DECC coming up in August I thought I’d pull a Barbara Walters and interview Mr. Russell. It certainly brought back memories for me and gave me insight to things that happened behind the scenes.

Celebrate The 125th Year Of The First Official Tourist Attraction In Duluth

It's been part of my life from when I very young and use to watch the fireworks display with my mom and dad to when Mr. Anderson our Science teacher took us there to take nature pictures.  As I began to drive, my friends would go there to hang and check out the view.  Now, I use Skyline Parkway for running and often times we choose it as a motorcycle route.  How cool is it that Skyline Parkway is celebrating it's 125th anniversary.  You can be part of the celebration!

5 Things My Mom Couldn’t Have Warned Me About as a Child

I'm sure you can come up with lots of things to add to my list. Or maybe crazy things your mom told you to be careful of that were myths, like waiting 30 minutes after you eat to go swimming.

Do You Know What This Was Used For?

Do you remember these? I was in Rhineland, WI with my sister at The Vintage Thrift Shop and ran across so many things that took us back to our childhood. Salt and Pepper shakers, knick knacks and games that were at our mother’s house. We laughed when we she picked up this item and said, “remember THIS!"

It’s National Little Red Wagon Day, What Does That Mean? [VIDEO]

Did you have a little red wagon as a child?  I had one, but it wasn't a Radio Flyer, it was generic.  Kinda like I got Hydrox chocolate sandwich cookies instead of Oreos.  Deprived, I know!  The Radio Flyer company has a day designated as "little red wagon day" and for a very good reason.

Homie (my husband) and I have a cruiser so when we were out enjoying the weather on the motorcycle this past weekend on Highway 23 in Fond Du Lac, we were delighted to run across an impromptu Model T parade.  Our thought was that they were taking the back roads to the Carlton Daze parade, but none-the-less we were thrilled to get to view them.
