Which Side Of The Latest McDonald’s TV Commercial Do You Stand?

The first time this commercial came on TV, it stopped me in my tracks.  I actually stopped crocheting and was riveted to the images on the screen.  Apparently so did the rest of America because now there is controversy surrounding the ad.  Watch it here and let us know what you think.

Toys of the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s Exhibit At The MN History Center Extends Hours For Final Days

Remember these cute little bugs?  The Cootie Bug game was one of my favorites as a child, along with Parcheesi, Yahtzee and Life! (not a fan of Monopoly due to my crappy math ability, although it did teach me to make change).   But, everybody had their favorites.  "Toys" is a national traveling exhibit of toys making stop at the MN History Center and has been breaking attendance records.  They will take you back to your childhood and is something you're entire family will enjoy, but time is running out!

My husband and I were grocery shopping together this past weekend.  I only turned my back for a minute and BAM! an unidentified object lands in the cart.  "It's not on the list" I say.  He replies, "I haven't had this since I was a kid.  I just HAVE to have it!".  Now he knows what it feels like when I find a pair of cute shoes I have to buy!

Throw Back Laughter With Carol Burnett’s “No Frills Airline” [Classic Video]

Saturday was the only night that my parents would let me stay up late.  That's because that was the night of the Carol Burnett Show.  (after having to sit through the painful Lawrence Welk Show).  With all the talk of airlines in the news I was doing research and ran across something that brought me back and still makes me laugh to this day.  Classic Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway.  Do you remember this?

Ken & Cathy Visit The Aerial Lift Bridge – Did You Know There Is A Bridge Within A Bridge [VIDEO]

I learned this fascinating piece of history from my daughter Kylee one day as we were strolling along the Lake Walk.  She worked on the Vista and heard the speech on the history of the bridge almost daily.  I didn't believe her until we walked over and she showed me the span within a span.  Dave Campbell, the Aerial Lift Bridge Supervisor gives us the skinny on how it came to be.
