Play The Classic Oregon Trail & Other Games Online for Free!

Nothing was better than computer lab and Oregon Trail growing up.  I remember typing in my friends' names in my group and then slowly watch them all get sick and suffer across the trip to the west.  It was a game that taught us how difficult it was in the old frontier, and now you can play it again for free!

5 Tips For Millenials To Be “Handy”

There has been a recent message from British Professor Danielle George saying Millennials don't know how to fix things.  If something breaks, they throw it away.  Millennials don't tinker anymore.  They have to call a professional for help with anything.  And you know what?  She's right for the most part.   More of my friends are completely helpless when it comes to stuff like this.  So here's a few tips that might get you started fixing things yourself.

UPDATE ROUND 2: Flashing Yellow Light Reactivated On Highway 33 With Explanation

The flashing yellow lights were installed in the Duluth area some time ago and I do admit that I feel a bit funny "going on yellow".  The process has now expanded to the Cloquet area and has some of the residents confused.  I posted this awhile back to inform motorists, then they pulled the flashing yellow light because it caused confusion and thus, accidents.   I'm updating the blog for the second time with news that they've now added signage and the flashing yellow light is back on.

Testing of Virtual Classes May Make Snow Days A Thing Of The Past

When I was young we only had snow days because of snow.  Now it can because of excessive snow or extremely cold temperatures.  Apparently they thought we were tough and could brave the cold in the 70's and 80's.  While students think a snow day is cool, parents on the other hand are faced with finding child care on short notice.  Despite what parents have to deal with, one school in central Minnesota is saying snow days in their district will be a thing of the past, here's how.

Proctor High School And Lakeview Christian Academy Send A Message Of Safety And Compete For $100,000

I was asked to vote on Facebook.  Wait, what?  Proctor Schools or Lakeview Christian Academy could win a contest that would bring The Band Perry to the Northland or net them $100,000!!  Why wouldn't you do something as simple as cast your vote once a day until the contest ends?  You don't have to attend either school or even live in the city to help with a vote.

Why Do The Leaves Of Our Trees Change Color In The Fall?
