June 28, 2011 It was a 2 hour ride bouncing around in a truck. The only highlight of the ride, a stop at Dairy Queen in Ladysmith, WI...however they were OUT OF COOKIE DOUGH! Sadness :( I made due with a Reese's. We finally arrived at Country Fest, with only a minimal amount of ice cream down the front of my shirt.
Then, there was the crawling through the crowd while in our truck, trying to find our parking spot and dealing with getting our tickets, traded in for wrist bands. Walk up the hill, no backstage passes at will call yet. Down the hill. Up the hill, nope, not yet. Shopped in the Country Fest Clothing Shop.....up the hill....

June 11, 2011 The Shania Twain comeback is about to kick into another gear. Taking a cue from Garth Brooks, who resumes his Vegas shows in August, Shania is heading to Nevada to perform.
Shania Twain will come on over to Las Vegas in December 2012, launching her two-year residency at Caesars Palace. The country superstar, who has sold 75 million albums worldwide, revealed details of the concert series during a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on June 8.
"I just can't wait," she said.

Following the news of the devastating electrical fire that destroyed his Brentwood, Tenn., home on Saturday, Trace Adkins has received an overwhelming outpouring of support from concerned friends and fans. He is asking them to re-direct their efforts and generosity to the American Red Cross through CMT One Country to assist those who have lost everything due to the recent storms that pummeled the South and Southeast, instead of sending him anything.

Taste of Country got an exclusive interview with Brad Paisley this week, in which, among other things, the country superstar talks about how Carrie Underwood has become his go-to duet partner.
"She’s probably pretty much my first choice to sing with when it comes to a duet with a woman like that. I mean, we just sort of share the same values and get along that well," Paisley tells Taste of Country. "I just don’t think there’s a better singer than her, so it’s sort of selfish to be able to sing with her and perform."
